Aplace is located in the middle of the old town of Antwerp. On the corner of ‘de Groenplaats’ and the Big Market, the designer shops and the ‘Kloosterstraat’, known for its antique en curiosa. It's locatiion, a charming little square in the very center of Antwerp (fashion district area) is literally around the corner of everything you want to see in this beautifull city. Aplace has 2 large suites and 2 city flats: Both suites and flats have been completely renovated since december 2012. They are decorated in vintage style combined with a few new objects which quarantees you a warm and cosy home. - The suites both have a sitting corner with sofa, digital tv, a docking station, dvd-player, a shared kitchinette with Illy espresso machine, a perculator and a little fridge. The bathroom has a walk-in / rainshower. One of them has an amazing square view, the large windows offers you a postcard view at night. The second suite is situated in the back of the building and is extremely cosy. - Both flats have a fully equipped kitchen, a brown marble bathroom with tub/rainshower, a seperate restroom, a very bright and cosy living room and 2 bedrooms. The view on the Vrijdagmarkt is amazing, The large windows offers you a postcard view at night. De Vrijdagmarkt is a quiet square that hasn’t been discovered by the big audience yet and ideal to meet local Antwerp people. Very unique and traditonal is the weekly auction on - fridays - on the ‘Vrijdagmarkt’. Here you can buy for a cheap price exclusive, retro and sometimes even valuable objects. On this square you’ll also find the world famous Plantin-Moretus museum. The only printing/publisher in the world from the Renaissances and baroque time which has kept remained. In the ‘Nationalestraat’ (= around the corner) and in the neighbourhood you can spend your money in various designer shops of famous Antwerp and international designers. This beautiful mansion once that used to be the house of a diamond-trader in the early 1900's, now has a new destination as b&b/guesthouse. The owner used to have his ateliers next door in nr 22b. Over time, both buildings 'lived' their own lives until the opportunity came along to bring them togeteher again. In 2008, we started our restaurant 22b. In 2017 we got the chance to buy the house nextdoor and start a b&b/guesthouse. This residential neighourhood has a quite authentic atmospere because of Jewesh inhabants walking through the streets until late at night in their black outfits and typical hats. In that way, the old vibes of the diamond activities are still alive.
