De oorspronkelijke twee woonhuizen op deze plek werden in de 19de eeuw samengevoegd tot één groot pand. Het huidige complex dateert van 1902 en herbergde het 'Institut Communal de Demoiselles'. Later kwam op de begane grond een groentezaak. Een lift bezorgde het toenmalige Hôtel du Nord in 1965 een nieuw elan. Het huidige Hôtel Polaris is in restauratie met het oog op een nieuwe bestemming.

Huis Koning is a historic building from the 17th century, situated along the canals (called Reien), which has been renovated and transformed into a charming B&B.

It has three luxuriously decorated guestrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom.

The breakfast buffet is served in the open kitchen or on the terrace adjacent to the water. Huis Koning is located in the very heart of the old city centre of Bruges, within walking distance of the Grote Markt (main market place). Hotel Cajou is centrally located in De Panne, but in quiet surroundings. Enjoy the lovely summer terrace on a nice day and walk to the beach which is only 50 meters away.
