"Menin Gate House" is a charming holiday built in 1923 and completely renovated in 2011. It is the ideal base to explore Ypres and Flanders Fields. Staying in the house is a unique experience. One could not stay any closer to the Menin Gate. Gastenverblijf De Arend is located in the historic centre of Nieuwpoort-city at 300 m from the tram/bus-stop. Three spacious comfortable rooms located on the first floor and three comfortable rooms located on the second floor accessible by stairs. The beautiful garden offers the possibility to relax during the beautiful days. On the ground floor you can enjoy in our ice cream shop artisan ice creams, pancakes and waffles. In the Hall there is a bicycle shed with loading point. Free parking is available in the streets behind our guesthouse. At walking distance you will find a wide selection of cosy restaurants. The "Rentmeesterhoeve" is located on the historical site of the former manor of Reninghelst. What remained of the old farm, adjacent to the manor's foundations, has been transformed during 2007 and 2008 into an attractive and comfortable B&B. You'll wake up in the pastoral atmosphere of the inner courtyard and in the reassuring proximity of the Saint Vedast's Church, just as it used to be many centuries ago before the French Revolution.

Our roads are easygoing, but beware, there are also some treacherous slopes. You can map out your own itinerary. And you'll meet appropriate signposts to keep you on the right track. One thing is certain: you'll always find a welcoming cafe to take a "refill", and after your efforts you can be sure, on returning to the "Rentmeesterhoeve", of a refreshing shower awaiting you.
