The "Rentmeesterhoeve" is located on the historical site of the former manor of Reninghelst. What remained of the old farm, adjacent to the manor's foundations, has been transformed during 2007 and 2008 into an attractive and comfortable B&B. De oorspronkelijke twee woonhuizen op deze plek werden in de 19de eeuw samengevoegd tot één groot pand. Het huidige complex dateert van 1902 en herbergde het 'Institut Communal de Demoiselles'. Later kwam op de begane grond een groentezaak. Een lift bezorgde het toenmalige Hôtel du Nord in 1965 een nieuw elan. Het huidige Hôtel Polaris is in restauratie met het oog op een nieuwe bestemming.

The Oesterhoeve is both a B&B as an oyster farm at the edge of Oostende, overlooking the Spuikom lake. It offers marina-themed rooms with flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi and luxury bedding.
