Welcome to the Hotel Recour, a romantic luxury hotel with its own town garden, peacefully located at a mere 100 metres from Poperinge town market square, the heart of hop country.

Built in 1929 as a grand summerhouse for General Timmerman by architect Vaerwyck, inspired by the famous English architect Lutyens.

Het Zonnehuis has been completely restored and redecorated by Bertrand Depry and Jan Vermast.

The house is now an exclusive Bed & Breakfast and regained its former grandeur. Het Zonnehuis has 4 luxury rooms, a Junior suite and a holiday house for 4 persons.

The large breakfast has also a British touch: English marmalades, English cheese, smoked salmon, eggs are made à la minute, Brussels waffles, fresh juice, yoghurt, granola and fresh fruit salad. Bread is coming from the bakery in the village. Breakfast is served between 8.30 and 11 a.m. at the big table, the small table or at the heated terrace.

The hotel is located in Sint-Joris, a rural district of Nieuwpoort where peace, tranquility and relaxation are guaranteed. In the morning you can enjoy an excellent and sumptuous breakfast buffet.
