The “Bel Epoque” district was realized under the reign of our King Leopold II. Our residence was built in 1902 but has been recently totally and utterly renovated. The surrounding public domain has been restored to his former splendor in respect with the spirit and the style of the “fin de siècle”.

Hostel "De Ploate" has moved into in brand-new building. The hostel has an excellent location for a unique combination of city & sea: situated in the city centre, at a mere 150 meters from the beach and at a walking distance of the fishing port and train station.
