Hotel Polaris, opened on 18 July 2009, is a charming and stylish design hotel in the heart of Ostend. It is housed in a mansion built in 1902 and has since 2005 been protected as a monument. The eclectic style façade still reflects the charm of yesteryear. The interior has been entirely redecorated using mainly black and white colours. The reflection of this warm and pleasant atmosphere can be experienced in the rooms. This is a non-smoking hotel with 18 rooms spread over 3 floors, which guarantees an intimate and quiet atmosphere. The modern rooms are functional and offer views either over the Groentemarkt or peace and quiet at the back. The “Bel Epoque” district was realized under the reign of our King Leopold II. Our residence was built in 1902 but has been recently totally and utterly renovated. The surrounding public domain has been restored to his former splendor in respect with the spirit and the style of the “fin de siècle”.

First and foremost, our guest house wants to be convivial, welcoming and comfortable. We wholeheartedly and cordially welcome our guests with an open mind, in a warm and hospitable fashion. We keep an open house by the sea side where eager spirits and out of the box  thoughts are welcome to collide under the Chatham House rules.
